MEET THE DIRECTOR
Sherica Snowden is a Savannah Georgia native and mother of 3 who started S.T.A.T. Kids after becoming unemployed due to a work-related injury that crushed her entire left foot. The idea came after she sat home suffering from depression not knowing if she would ever be able to walk again. She turned each child's hobby into a business. Though it sounds easy, there was one big issue. Sherica had no experience starting a business and had to research information to get started, then purchase inventory for each child's company. After many trial and error, failures, and bad investments each child became a business owner who could successfully run the business from the ground up. The first year the total gross was a little over $10,000! Instead of spending it, Sherica decided to host an event for Christmas allowing one hundred children to enjoy a shopping spree at the local Five Below. The event was a huge success and Sherica made the decision that day to help other children become entrepreneurs as well. S.T.A.T. Kids!
What does S.T.A.T. mean, what does it stand for?
S.T.A.T. is broken down from the phrase "Stop Thougtin' and Think" which means just that. Taking everything you ever thought of from the thinking phase to the action phase. Don't just think about doing it, lets actually get it done!
